This project exists because the data is real, the problem is visible, and the silence around it is loud. We’re not scientists or activists. We’re people who saw the numbers and decided that awareness has to start somewhere.
THE ORIGIN
Three things that started this.
It wasn’t one moment. It was a pattern. Personal experience, then research, then the realization that most people, like us, simply didn’t know how bad it had gotten.
O1.
Personal experience.
It starts with noticing. A bag here. A cup there. Then one day you start counting, and you can’t stop. The sheer volume of single-use plastic in a single ordinary week is staggering when you actually pay attention to it. That noticing changed everything.
O2.
The data was shocking.
8 million metric tons entering our oceans every year. 91% of plastic never recycled. A bottle that outlives six generations of your family. These aren’t activist talking points, they’re peer-reviewed facts. Once you see them, they’re impossible to unsee.
O3.
Awareness had to start somewhere.
Most environmental content makes people feel guilty or overwhelmed, and then they disengage. We want to build something different. A place for dialogue, education, awareness building and resources that will show the impact you can have with small steps, that will help not only the planet but the health of you and your family.
